Why is akaushi so special?
Akaushi beef has a rich and buttery feel, and perfect marbling throughout every tender cut. No marinades or injections are needed because the natural flavor is just that good. As if you needed more reasons to fire up your grill, Akaushi beef is known for its rich health benefits including a high concentration of monounsaturated fat to saturated fat ratios. According to the American Heart Association, this is a huge thumbs up.
What is akaushi?
Our Akaushi beef is 50% Akaushi sired by our very own Heart-Brand Akaushi Bull. You’ve likely heard of Wagyu (which simply means “Japanese cow”), but may be less familiar with the term Akaushi, which is a rare, premium grade of Wagyu.
Grass Finished Ranch Raised
Our Akaushi cows are raised alongside our Ranch Raised and Grass-fed Cattle, but are separated and fed a local nutritious corn for the finishing stage or last 120 days before being processed. These cattle are on pasture grasses for the duration of this time as well.
